Taxes, Duties & Shipping Terms

Australia, New Zealand & United States (DDP)

All orders shipped to Australia, New Zealand, and the United States are sent on a Delivered Duty Paid (DDP) basis.

This means:

• We cover all import duties and taxes (including GST where applicable)
• Shipping costs are included
• You will not be charged anything further upon delivery

Other Countries

For other international destinations, if we arrange shipping, it will generally be on a Delivered Duty Unpaid (DDU) basis. Local import taxes or duties may apply, and we will advise you clearly before confirming your order.

• Please ensure your shipping address and contact phone number are correct at checkout
• We are unable to reroute parcels once they have been dispatched
• If a parcel is returned due to incorrect address, failed delivery, or refused delivery, the buyer will be responsible for any re-shipping and associated fees

Professional Washing Before Delivery

Regular Maintenance

1. Vacuuming – Use a vacuum with a gentle suction setting or a handheld vacuum to remove dust and debris. Avoid using a beater bar as it can damage the fibers.

2. Shaking & Beating – Take your rug outside and shake it out to remove loose dirt. For deeper cleaning, use a rug beater to loosen embedded dust.

3. Rotating – Rotate your rug every few months to ensure even wear and prevent fading from prolonged sun exposure.

Spot Cleaning Stains

1. Act Fast – Blot spills immediately with a clean, dry cloth to prevent staining. Avoid rubbing, as this can push the stain deeper into the fibers.

2. Mild Cleaning Solution – Mix a solution of mild dish soap and cold water. Dab the stain gently using a soft cloth or sponge.

3. Rinse & Dry – After cleaning, use a damp cloth to remove any soap residue. Allow the rug to air dry completely before placing it back.

Professional Cleaning

For heavily soiled or antique Moroccan Berber rugs, professional cleaning is recommended. Ensure the cleaner specialises in natural wool and handwoven textiles.

Because of the unique nature of our rugs, all purchases are final. We do not offer refunds or returns based on change of mind.

Our rugs are crafted by hand and often made decades ago. Slight irregularities, natural wear, frayed edges, asymmetry, or minor fading are not considered faults — they are a celebrated part of the piece’s history and handmade nature. We call it perfectly imperfect, and it’s what makes each rug truly special.

Damaged, Faulty or Misdescribed Items

While returns aren’t accepted, we care about your experience. If your rug arrives significantly damaged during transit or is not as described, please contact us within 10 days of receiving your order.

• We will assess the matter and offer an appropriate resolution, which may include:

  • A partial or full refund, or

  • A replacement or store credit, if available.

Please note: we cannot accept claims for small imperfections that are consistent with vintage or handmade items.

Received the Wrong Rug?

If you receive an item in error (e.g. the wrong rug was sent), we’ll make it right at no cost to you — including organising the exchange or return shipping.
