There’s something about the Moroccan coast that slows you down in all the right ways. Maybe it’s the rhythm of the waves crashing against the cliffs. Maybe it’s the daily call to prayer echoing through the hills. Or maybe it’s just the way people here sip their tea like they’ve got all the time in the world. Either way, living by the ocean in Morocco has taught us to breathe deeper, live slower, and pay attention to the little things.
Reconnecting with rhythm
Whether it’s the tide rolling in or the sun melting into the ocean every evening, nature sets the schedule here. Days start slow, with strong coffee, ocean dips and a salty breeze. Work fits in between walks, mint tea breaks, and late sunsets. It’s not always efficient, but it’s intentional, and somehow that makes everything feel more aligned.

Coming from a world where fast is the default, Morocco has been a lesson in patience. Here, there’s no such thing as a quick coffee, and honestly, that’s kind of beautiful. We’ve learned to embrace the long chats, the unexpected pauses, and the slower pace that lets life unfold on its own terms. We are so very lucky to have access to beautiful spaces where we can rest and recharge.
